My Son Married The Love Of His Life. I Just Watched The Video And Realized The Bride Is My Kidnapped Daughter. Am I Going Insane?
A Perfect Couple with a Secret
Rosa and Alfred Miller were getting ready for their son’s upcoming wedding, and given their financial situation, there was nothing they couldn’t afford. They booked the best restaurant in the city, got a live music band, and even rented several limousines for the guests and relatives.
“I’m so happy our son found the woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with. It’s only too bad that she’s so shy. I’ve invited Kimberly over so many times, but she always claims to be very busy,”
Rosa remarked with pride in her voice.
“Well, that’s not the worst thing. Ethan says that Kimberly is getting her degree and has a job at the same time. I think that’s very commendable,”
Alfred replied.
Rosa looked gratefully at her husband, glad that he understood her so well. They had been living together for almost 25 years and were considered one of the best couples in the area. Few people knew that the couple had their own secret, which they carefully hid from everyone.
The thing was that they adopted their beautiful son, Ethan, when he was three years old. The couple didn’t know the boy’s biological parents, but most of the caretakers at the orphanage believed that his mother died during childbirth.
Despite the fact that Ethan was adopted, Rosa and Alfred surrounded him with such love and attention that he could only dream of ever being at an orphanage. The wealthy parents gave their son an excellent education and a solid starting capital, which quickly turned him into one of the top bachelors around. However, the couple never once told anyone that Ethan wasn’t their biological son.
The Storm and the Ceremony
Since their son’s wedding coincided with a very important business trip abroad, Rosa and Alfred asked the young couple to hire a professional to film the entire ceremony. Of course, they wanted to attend the celebration in person, but as fortune would have it, a terrible storm broke out that day and all flights out of the Toronto Airport were canceled.
Fortunately, the couple managed to get a private airline to fly them home. Rosa and Alfred were only three hours late to the wedding, so none of the guests even noticed their absence.
“Well, our son is really an adult now, and look at how beautiful Kimberly is,”
Rosa noted with a smile.
“Yes, dear, these are the moments that make life worth living,”
Alfred replied.
Since they arrived at the height of the celebration, they didn’t manage to talk to the newlyweds. Ethan and Kimberly were busy accepting gifts and congratulations and listening to toasts and speeches.
“It’s okay, dear. The most important thing is that our son is happy, and we’ll see the official part of the ceremony on the video,”
Alfred hastened to reassure his wife.
Rosa smiled in response and involuntarily started thinking of the days of her youth. Back then, Rosa and Alfred had gotten married and were enjoying their life, making plans for the future. Finally, the celebration began to wind down and the guests started leaving. Alfred and Rosa left even earlier so as to not be a nuisance to the young guests.
The Discovery in the Video
The next morning, the couple woke up earlier than usual and got right to watching the wedding video. Admiring Kimberly’s beautiful wedding dress, Rosa suddenly saw something that she hadn’t noticed before. The fact was that they only saw Kimberly a couple of times before the wedding, and those meetings were always very brief.
Now, looking more closely, Rosa saw a large mole behind her daughter-in-law’s left ear. It wouldn’t have mattered if only this mark wasn’t of a very specific shape; it looked like a heart.
“Alfred, dear, did you see that?”
Rosa exclaimed, pausing the video.
At first, Mr. Miller didn’t understand what his wife was talking about, but when Rosa zoomed in on the shot, he exclaimed in surprise.
“How is that possible? Our little Darcy had the exact same mole.”
Of course, Rosa had no definite answer to this question. Nevertheless, the woman was confident that this mole looked exactly like the one their daughter had. Unfortunately, she disappeared 20 years ago.
“Could she be our Darcy? But how is that even possible? It’s been so long,”
Rosa asked, having a hard time restraining her excitement.
“I don’t know, dear, but I do know that we shouldn’t rush to any conclusions. First, we need to get to the bottom of everything, and then we’ll decide what to do next,”
Alfred Miller said, stammering at every word.
